About Pack & Troop 529
Serving the youth of Gibraltar and surrounding communities since 1947
Our Mission
The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Cub Scout Pack 529
Cub Scout Pack 529 serves girls and boys from kindergarten through fifth grade. Our program helps younger children learn essential skills, build character, and have fun through age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and outdoor adventures.
Pack Structure
The Pack is divided into smaller groups called dens, typically organized by grade level:
- Lion Scouts - Kindergarten
- Tiger Scouts - 1st Grade
- Wolf Scouts - 2nd Grade
- Bear Scouts - 3rd Grade
- Webelos Scouts - 4th Grade
- Arrow of Light Scouts - 5th Grade
Our Pack meets weekly (during the school year) for den meetings, pack meetings, and special events throughout the year. We also have planned activities during the summer.
Scout Troop 529
Scout Troop 529 serves youth ages 11-17. Our troop focuses on outdoor skills, leadership development, personal growth, and service to others. Scouts advance through ranks by completing requirements, earning merit badges, and taking on leadership roles.
Troop Structure
Our troop is youth-led with adult guidance. Scouts elect their leaders and plan their activities with mentorship from trained adult leaders.
- Patrol Method - Scouts are organized into patrols, small teams that function as a unit.
- Youth Leadership - Positions include Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leaders, and more.
- Advancement - Scouts progress through the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle.
Our troop meets weekly and participates in monthly outdoor activities, summer camp, and high-adventure trips.
Adult Leadership
Our dedicated adult leaders provide guidance, mentorship, and support to our Scouts. All leaders are trained in youth protection and Scout program delivery.
